David Gedge owns a small property in Santa Monica, which is located on the Pacific coast of the United States of America, close to Los Angeles.

Whenever David is not in California, this apartment is rented out on a ‘holiday let’ basis.

Here’s what the estate agent says…

The flat [Americans will know it as a “condo”] comprises a living room with two sofa-beds, a fully equipped kitchen/diner [with microwave and dish-washer], a bedroom and a bathroom. It has hardwood floors and tiling throughout.

There is a 42” flat screen HD TV with digital cable, a DVD player, wireless broadband internet and telephone with free local and long distance calls. The bedroom has large mirrored closets and the bed has an organic cotton and natural latex mattress and luxurious organic cotton sheets. There are even chairs and “boogie boards” for the beach!

The property is fifteen minutes’ walk from both the sea-front and Santa Monica’s famous Third Street Promenade with its many shops, cinemas, restaurants and street performers. The Santa Monica pier also has shops and restaurants, together with an amusement park [with a solar-powered Ferris Wheel!] and an aquarium. Also nearby is Montana Avenue, where the celebrities shop!

Santa Monica is a gem on the coast of California, just twelve miles north of Los Angeles International Airport. Known for its beautiful beaches, Santa Monica is also close to a mountain range and short drives away from Los Angeles, Hollywood and Disneyland. Just up the coast is Malibu, the Getty Villa and the world famous Zuma Beach. It enjoys sunny weather throughout the year and, although you can walk to almost everything, you can also rent bicycles easily.

Santa Monica hosts farmers’ markets where you can buy fresh organic fruit and vegetables every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
